Shaking Your Money Tree

Wealth Now and How - Things You Should Know

Shaking Your Money Tree

In this series of blogs I will give you information essential to your business that's not spoken about even by the guru's. The reason for this is that gurus don't divulge key information and if they do they charge big money for it.

You may or may not have heard the term "Branding!" Branding, of course, is not a secret but we need to start at the basics. If you have purchased an online business that comes with a generic web page, you will need to strongly weigh up its value. If you are doing this part-time to gain a few extra dollars that's fine, but if you are a serious entrepreneur you will need to get your own website. This is the beginning of your Branding.

In the years to come your name, Company Name, and Websites, should be well known among fellow marketers as this is where you will find a lot of your Business. People buy from people they know and have web "presents". Your credibility in the industry is an important part of your business. The other reason for having your own site is you are able to put into place, actions, that will draw some "Google love". In other words you're website traffic ranking.

The more ranking you receive, the more traffic to your website and therefore the more sales you make. If you were to use a generic site only, it is the company involved, not you, who receives the Google ranking. I will speak more about sites in a moment.

The very first thing you must do and the most important for your businesses future, is get the right domain name for your business. This should be based on a suitable keyword phrase. There is software to help you pick the most competitive and commercial keywords but as you are starting it may be a cost you cannot absorb at present.

If you have purchased several online businesses or intend too, you will need a name that encompasses all businesses. Hopefully, if you pick complimentary businesses your websites can feed off each other for more ranking. The sites I recommend to purchase Domains is "go daddy.com" and secondly "secure pay net.net"

My first big tip here, is to first (if possible), find an aged Domain. What I mean by this, is someone may no longer be working their business, or simply forgotten to renew their listing. You can capture very valuable ranking by finding businesses that are already receiving a reasonable ranking and claiming it as your own.

The site to go to find these aged Domains is: "aged-domain-finder.com". Some of these aged domains can be years old and therefore expensive to purchase. However you can nominate a price you are willing to pay and do a search on likely keywords (words people use in their Google searches to find you). There are several other websites that specialise in this service so do a Google search. So now that you have your Domain name, let's get back to your website.

As far as free sites go I would use "sites google.com". This service is free to you and basically you build your own site saving you hundreds of dollars in a web designer. You may need help with it, but if you're savvy it is an easy enough process. Remember this is a free site with no hosting fees, so preserver, it will be worth it.

You will need to get a Gmail account set up first (i.e. Google email). I recommend also signing up to "people string.com" this is a free site but it allows you to have your business and personal email accounts on the one page, as well as all the social sites for your marketing. You can also join as an affiliate for $200 and receive money from advertisers using the site. I am in this one myself and it make good passive income every day.

To join you must go to my website below and click on my referral link. Also sign up for Google Apps as you will need to add a capture page (i.e. an information request form) to your web pages. Apps (i.e. applications) contains a gadget called "Docs" (document spread sheet). When your prospective clients fill in the information form, it is sent to your doc's spreadsheet so you can market to those people. This is put in the back office of your web page and is the beginning of your list.

Your list is simply email addresses that you send your marketing literature too. Also set up a Google Analytics account. This will show you the statistics of who has visited your site, search engine traffic etc. If you want more control of your site I would recommend "host gator.com". They have several packages but they are large, reliable, and inexpensive.
